The FEFCO 0427 is the e-commerce mailer. A one-piece die-cut blank folds into a box with a hinged lid, a tuck-front closure and dust flaps, with no tape or glue needed on the packing bench. It has become the default postal format for retailers, subscription brands and marketplace sellers.
Die-cut at scale
We manufacture 0427 postal boxes on our rotary die-cutting line, which prints, cuts and creases the blank in a single pass before automatic palletisation. It is a format our lines are built around, and it runs at the volumes distributors need for stock ranges and large end-customer programmes.
Sizes and board
Postal boxes are usually specified against a carrier size band. We design blanks to hit Royal Mail Large Letter and Small Parcel limits, and the equivalent bands for other carriers, while keeping the internal dimensions your customer’s product needs.
E flute is the standard choice for a clean print surface and low pack weight. B flute is used where products are heavier or the box is stacked in transit.
Print and peel and seal
Up to two-colour flexographic print goes on inside, outside or both, with Pantone matching for brand colours. For faster packing we apply a pressure-sensitive peel and seal strip inline, giving a tamper-evident closure that removes tape from the process entirely.
