Responsible manufacturing at Tradepack is not a separate initiative. It is built into the way the plant is powered, the materials we specify and the way the line is designed.
Energy
We source power from renewable suppliers and run modern, energy-efficient machinery. Single-pass production means each pack is handled once, which keeps energy use per unit low across high-volume runs.
Materials
Corrugated board is made from renewable forest fibres and widely recycled paper, and it goes back into the same recycling streams at end of life. We do not use plastic laminates or coatings, so the packs we make stay fully recyclable.
Inks and adhesives
Where print is required we use water-based flexographic inks. Our hot-melt adhesive, used for gluing and peel and seal application, is certified 81% from renewable sources and carbon negative.
Design
The most effective reduction is the board that never gets used. Our CAD team reduces blank sizes and moves designs to lighter flute grades wherever performance allows, lowering material consumption and freight weight at the same time.
Supporting your reporting
Distributors increasingly report on the packaging they sell. We provide the material, ink, adhesive and energy details needed to support that reporting for the products we manufacture.
