Two-colour flexographic printing on corrugated packaging at Tradepack

Flexographic printing

Our flexographic printing capability supports up to two colours, suitable for trade-standard branding and repeat production runs. The process delivers consistent print results across large volumes while maintaining production efficiency.

Brand colour matching and Pantone capability

We match supplied colour references and maintain consistency across repeat runs, so packaging remains visually consistent across multiple orders and production cycles.

Water-based inks

Water-based flexographic inks are used where print is required, supporting responsible manufacturing and customer sustainability targets.

Inline application

Print is applied on the same pass as cutting and gluing, so branded packaging carries no separate print process, lead time or handling cost.

Print on trade packaging has a job to do: identify the brand, carry the handling marks and make the SKU recognisable on the shelf or in the warehouse. Our flexographic process does that job consistently, at volume, without adding a separate stage to production.

Up to two colours, inline

Our press prints up to two colours directly onto the corrugated sheet as it enters the conversion line. Because print is inline, a branded pack takes no longer to make than a plain one and carries no separate handling cost.

Colour matching

We match supplied Pantone references and maintain that match across repeat runs, so a distributor’s own-brand range or an end customer’s branded shipper looks the same on every delivery. Where print sits on kraft board we advise on the combination that gets closest to the target colour.

Inks

All print uses water-based flexographic inks, which supports responsible manufacturing and the sustainability targets our customers report against.

What suits flexo

Flexographic print on corrugated is ideal for solid colour, line work and text. Fine halftones and photographic images are not a good fit for the process or the board, and we will say so at design stage.

FAQ

Flexographic printing: questions

What can be printed in two colours?

Logos, brand marks, handling instructions, SKU identification, barcodes and shelf-edge messaging. Two-colour flexo covers the requirements of most trade packaging; full-colour process print is not part of our offer.

Can you match our customer's brand colour?

Yes. Supply a Pantone reference and we will match it and hold it across repeat runs. Note that ink on kraft board reads differently from ink on white; we will advise on the board and print combination that gets closest.
