Shelf Ready Packaging (SRP)

Retail-ready trays and cases that ship, stack and merchandise in one unit, designed for fast replenishment.

Shelf ready corrugated packaging display unit manufactured for retail supply

Shelf ready packaging does two jobs. It protects product through the supply chain, then opens in one motion to become the display the product is sold from. Retailers specify it because it cuts replenishment time; brands specify it because it puts their print on the shelf edge.

Formats we manufacture

  • Tear-away cases where a perforated section of the outer removes to expose product.
  • Tray-and-hood packs that ship as a closed unit and merchandise as an open tray.
  • Open-front trays for canned, jarred and boxed goods.

All are designed by our CAD team around the case count, the shelf footprint and the opening method the retailer expects, and sampled on our digital flatbed before tooling.

Designed for the store

The details that make SRP work are structural: perforations that tear cleanly without damaging product, a front lip low enough to shop from, and a base strong enough to stack in the back of store. We engineer each of those into the blank, then hold the specification on every repeat run.

E and B flute give a good print surface and the strength SRP needs on shelf. Up to two-colour flexographic print with Pantone matching covers brand colours and shelf-edge messaging, using water-based inks.

FAQ

Shelf Ready Packaging questions

What makes packaging shelf ready?

Shelf ready packaging is designed to be identified, opened, placed on shelf and shopped without decanting. That means clear branding, a one-motion opening, a stable footprint and product visibility once opened.

Do you manufacture SRP to retailer guidelines?

We design to the functional requirements of the retailer your customer supplies, including opening method, shelf footprint and print position, and produce a sample for approval before production.
