FEFCO Custom die-cut

Custom Die-Cut Packaging

Bespoke die-cut corrugated formats for fit, protection and presentation, manufactured on high-speed rotary lines.

Bespoke die-cut corrugated packaging manufactured in the UK

Die-cutting is what turns a sheet of corrugated board into a shape a standard case cannot be. Locking tabs, hinged lids, integral cushioning, display windows and crash-lock bases all come from the die. We design and manufacture die-cut formats for trade customers whose end users need more than a slotted case.

Design first

Every die-cut project starts in CAD. Our design team builds the structure around the product, the shipping method and the packing process, then cuts a sample on our digital flatbed for fit and drop testing. Only once the sample is approved is production tooling ordered.

Manufactured in one pass

Approved designs run on our high-speed rotary die-cutting line. Print, cutting, creasing, gluing and peel and seal application happen inline, and finished packs are palletised automatically at the end of the line. That single-pass process keeps unit costs down and repeatability high across large production runs.

Typical formats

  • Crash-lock and auto-bottom cartons that erect in one movement.
  • Shippers with integral retention that remove the need for void fill.
  • Hinged-lid presentation boxes for subscription and gift programmes.
  • Multi-panel transit packs for awkward or fragile products.

Board efficiency

Die-cut blanks are laid out to minimise waste on the sheet. Where a design allows, we nest multiple blanks per sheet, which reduces board consumption and cost at volume.

FAQ

Die-Cut Packaging questions

How long does die-cut tooling take?

Tooling is ordered once the cut sample is approved. Lead time depends on the complexity of the die and is confirmed at quotation, and the tooling is retained for repeat runs.

Can I see a sample before committing to a production run?

Yes. Every die-cut design is cut on our digital flatbed as a white sample for fit testing and approval before tooling is ordered.
